The United States has a robust trade and investment relationship with the ten countries that comprise the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Collectively, ASEAN countries make up the United States’ fourth-largest goods trading partner, and together represent a market with a GDP of more than $3 trillion and a population of 667 million people.
- U.S. goods and services exports to ASEAN in 2020 were $111.9 billion, and accounted for 5.4% of overall U.S. exports in 2020.
- The top export markets in the region for 2020 were: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines.
- The top export categories in 2020 were: electrical machinery, machinery, mineral fuels, optical and medical instruments, and aircraft.
- U.S. exports of goods and services to the region supported an estimated 656,000 jobs in 2019.

March 13-15: Business networking forum & optional mission stop (B2B meetings) in Bangkok, Thailand.
